Every major production nowadays has its own design team within the Art Department. Nevertheless, when working on props we are often confronted with the problem that a desired functionality cannot be integrated into the given Design. Or there is the question of e.g. how a functional, futuristic object or the furnishings of a lab could look like.

In this case, we will be happy to make suggestions for changes or, if desired, we can also take over the complete design development. While dealing with the function of an object or a set and its interaction with the actor, we'll always endeavour to pay attention to usability and durability. After all, what is the point of a much-used prop if the production has constant problems due to overly complicated handling or fragile construction.

Our design philosophy is guided in many parts by the development of our own machines - except that our designs in front of the camera usually look much more interesting.
